Chris has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting and business advisory services. After working in the audit and accounting practice areas of the Boston office of Coopers & Lybrand, Chris joined DePaola, Begg & Associates, P.C. as a partner in 1989.

As a native of Cape Cod, Chris is committed to supporting the local community. He is presently a member of the board of directors for the Kelley Foundation, Coastal Community Capital, and Cape Cod Charitable Fundraisers, Inc. Chris is a corporator of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and an advisor to the Barnstable Education Foundation. He previously served on the boards of directors of the Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Chris enjoys golf, running, and traveling. As an avid cyclist, he has raised over $150,000 in support of the Last Gasp fundraiser. Chris has also been an active member of the Hyannis and Osterville Rotary Clubs, the Barnstable Youth Hockey and Soccer, the Centerville Civic Association, and was a Town of Barnstable town meeting representative.

Family is very important to Chris, and his wife, Martha. They raised their three children in Centerville. Their son Sean is a CPA who joined DePaola, Begg & Associates, P.C. in the fall of 2014.
